Awww do they have to be little? I prefer BIG, juicy, fleshy bugs... at least you can get some meat of those:) so if you still don't see where I'm going with this, let's put it this way: I would eat them with a little drop of lemon and a slice of bread and some fine wine with it and some butter, oh yes, I LOVE BUTTER ON BUGS!!! AND SOMETHING SPICY LIKE CHILI AND AND AND... ammm and I must go now couse I'm getting hungry.

Geez Urban,... bug lover :)

I hope they are crispy :D
Bugs can be good (or so I've heard).
Oh and some snails would probably go well with bugosalad, maybe even... uhm... what goes good with bugs ? Maybe chili,... jeah chili would go nicely (nice and spicy):)

Maybe some crispy spiders (preferably covered with webbing) ?

Now with all the talk about bugs and stuff in MY salad, I probably won't be able to eat any salad for a weak :S

Now Mrs Mary I ask you, what would YOU do if you saw little bugs in your salad ? :D

M!h4, you're being mean! Well, I'm sure I won't eat salad for more than a week - each time I'd think of your and Urban's recipe... But if it happened to me, I'd just call my husband for help...(you see, Mrs Mary is not creative at all...)
As to your free writing, Urban and M!h4, you're both excellent. That's what I had in mind. I can hardly wait for the rest of you...

What would I do if I found a bug in my salad?

I would stand up, took the bug out and free it,

that is what I would do.

But the problem begins here. I once found a bug and guess what I did...

I screamed, I paniced and so on.

Merry Christmas

In between all the parties…

Behind all the decorations…

Underneath the bags and boxes…

… is the true meaning of Christmas:

Spread the laughter,

share the cheer…

Pass the peace

both far and near…

Wish some merry

Make some jolly…

Hang some hopes up

with the holly.

Quick before the season is past,

Spread the joy and make it last.

Wishing you a sparkling Christmas!

Christmas Acrostic Poem

Hi, everybody!
Christmas is coming. Let's be a bit romantic for a change... and write a poem. Actually, an acrostic poem.

An acrostic poem is one where you choose a word or name and use each letter in the name as the beginning of a word or line that tells something about that person or topic.

Example: An acrostic poem using the word "Sun."

Sometimes when we go to the beach, I will get sun burn.

Usually if I put Sun block on my skin, I will not burn.

Noon is when I'm really prone to burning.
Now you do it.
Write an acrostic poem using the word below
. Post it as a comment.
We'll read all of them out to the rest of the class on 22 December. The best one will be awarded a prize...

The word is:

C
H
R
I
S
T
M
A
S

PS: If you feel like, you can choose any words you like and write some more... Don't forget to post them!

Hello class of 2006-2007!

We have begun a new “adventure” in English… blogging. We'll be using blogging as an educational tool to share and build understanding of the topics we discuss in class.

Just a reminder about the rules:
- Every Sunday I will post TWO blog writing topics.
- During the week, select one and post a response to it.
- The post must be in 5 or more complete sentences.
- Find two responses that you like or dislike and comment on them.
- If you do those three things, you will earn 20 points for the week. Each journal post counts for 10 points and the response counts for 5 points.
- I will check the blog postings on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m.

Let’s get started!

1. If you could change one thing in the world right now, what would you choose to change? Why?
2. How well do you think you know yourself and what makes you unique?

You may begin posting for the week. And remember – 1 post (5 sentences) and two comments. These are due on December 1st. Email me if you have any problems with the blogs or the class.

Enjoy your time!
